נישט געשטויגן און נישט געפלויגן
Yiddish
Pronunciation
Nisht geshtoygn un nisht gefloygn
Literal Translation
Didn’t climb up and didn’t fly
Description
It never happened, bullshit
Etymology
The expression is a denial the divinity of Jesus. In essence, any Jew in a traditional Yiddish speaking environment would interpret the phrase to mean that Jesus neither climbed nor flew to heaven. It is used similar to the English expression "when pigs fly".
